GORDON BERMANT is an American psychologist, lawyer, consultant, and writer.

Before and after two decades of work in the federal court system, he taught at the University of California at Davis, the University of Washington, and the University of Pennsylvania. In 2001, he received an Outstanding Contributor Award from the American Bankruptcy Institute and he served in 2006-2007 as President of the Buddhist Churches of America.

DON CHAKERIAN, an Armenian American, received his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley and is Emeritus Professor of Mathematics at the University of California, Davis. His area of research is theory of convex sets and geometric inequalities. He has received recognition for his expository writing, including the Pólya, Allendoerfer and Ford awards from the Mathematical Association of America.
